We visited Auckland to research how to enter the New Zealand market, without knowing the local business customs. A café employee recommended NZ Daisuki, so we went straight to the office without an appointment. After we explained the situation, the president came out to listen.

Within an hour, he understood our concept and offered ideas as if he were brainstorming with our own team. The support covered company formation, office arrangements, equipment, office and logo design, and recruitment. We were able to start the business quickly, and received practical advice on operations afterwards.

COVID-19 eventually made it difficult to continue, and we withdrew from the market. We are deeply grateful for the support that helped us operate successfully in the years before that. If we consider starting another business in New Zealand, we will certainly get in touch again.

New Zealand was our first overseas expansion. While we were exploring how to find a partner, we were introduced by someone at the New Zealand Embassy in Shibuya. They carried out market research, found an acquisition target and even handled the price negotiations. We were able to acquire a New Zealand business without problems and achieve our ambition of expanding overseas.

An honest reflection after AI training

English translation of the client’s comments.

At first, I was very anxious: could I really use a computer and AI to create designs? What made me so happy was that Ms Sakamoto first understood the current situation of my business. Rather than simply teaching me how to use tools, she connected the lessons to the real questions: how to reach local customers, and how to handle challenges such as price changes myself.

Learning the basic principles — not trying too hard to write every instruction myself, using prompt templates and asking AI to help me think, and asking AI how to improve a result from 60 out of 100 to 100 — lifted a weight from my shoulders. It gave me real confidence that I could put this into practice, one step at a time.

Above all, I cannot express how grateful I am that Ms Sakamoto listened so closely to my budget and honest concerns, created such a thoughtful plan just for me, and worked alongside me.

With this wonderful recipe notebook beside me, I am looking forward to enjoying the challenge of making a menu first. I can also see how this could lead to creating images for social media.

If I get stuck along the way, I hope I can take you up on your kind offer to ask questions. Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you for such a wonderful session today — it really felt as though new possibilities were opening up for me!

I have now finished the simple version of the candied-apple menu we were working on together, designed to be easy to read from a distance at the stall. I wanted you to be the first to see it, Ms Sakamoto.
